Phoenix Arizona, Portraits
Nearly every winter my partner and I take a road trip to Arizona to spend the holidays with our nieces and nephew. I’ve been photographing them for years, it’s so wonderful watching them grow into adulthood. This year I left the DSLR at home and relied on the Fuji system. The more I shoot with this camera, the more I love it.
San Francisco Wedding, The Gentlemen
All photographs shot while second shooting for Morgan Bellinger of Move Photography. Thank you, Morgan, it’s always a blast working with you!
Second Shooting, Natalia and Sasha’s San Francisco Russian Wedding
I always welcome the chance to second shoot weddings for fellow pro photographers. It’s a great opportunity to watch someone else work, support them in delivering great coverage to their clients, plus a chance to capture different types of images than the ones I usually am focused on nailing when I’m the primary photographer. These portraits were just a few I grabbed during a recent wedding I assisted on.
Ha Long Bay and Vietnam with the Fuji X-pro1
I’ve just returned from spending a few weeks in Vietnam and Thailand during which I gave my Fuji X-pro1 quite a workout. It performed perfectly, even in the middle of a rainstorm. Luckily, we had clear weather for our days in Ha Long Bay. Most of these images were shot with the Fujinon 18-55mm lens, which I picked up as a carry around lens for this trip, and while it’s perfect for vacation snapshots and casual shooting, it still doesn’t beat our the 35mm 1.4 for image quality and sharpness. They’ve now released a 23mm prime that looks fantastic, but costs nearly $900.

Radical Face at Great American Music Hall
Radical Face is one of my favorite bands, but like an idiot I missed them the last time they toured. This time I was front and center for a stellar performance at the beautiful Great American Music Hall here in San Francisco. Photos shot on the Fuji 35mm 1.4 on the X-Pro1.
Pt. Reyes Wedding Photography, Erin and Daniel
Erin called me early last year as she was planning her Pt. Reyes wedding, she and her partner Daniel traveled from South Carolina where they work as school teachers. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company did a wonderful job with the flowers and decorations. Erin and Daniel hosted an intimate wedding for family and close friends in the California sunshine, what could be better?
